This Privacy Policy explains how Amendify (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install or use the App on their Shopify store. Amendify is developed and maintained by Kodence (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Merchant Information
When you install the App, we automatically receive certain information from your Shopify account as permitted by Shopify’s API, including:

We only request the minimum data required to provide the App’s core features.
Order & Customer Data
To enable post-purchase order edits, automation rules, and upsell workflows, Amendify may access certain Shopify order and customer information, including:

- Order fulfillment and payment status
- Customer name, email, and order history (if required for specific features)
We do not store or process full payment information. Shopify handles all payment data.

This data helps us troubleshoot issues and improve functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and operate the App’s core features
- Enable customers to edit orders after checkout

3. Data Retention
We retain merchant, store, and order data only for as long as necessary to provide the App’s features.
When you uninstall Amendify, our access to your Shopify store is automatically revoked and all associated data stored on our servers is deleted within 30 days, unless otherwise required for legal or compliance reasons.
4. Sharing Your Information
We may share data only in the following cases:
- With Shopify, as required for the App to function
- With service providers we use for hosting or error monitoring (e.g., secure servers, logging tools)
- To comply with legal requests, such as subpoenas or regulatory obligations
These parties are required to maintain confidentiality and handle data securely.
We do not share customer data with third parties except as required to operate the App.
